Long Life, Peace and Prosperity
Proverbs 3:1-4 AMP
“My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments;
For length of days and years of life [worth living] and tranquility and prosperity [the wholeness of life’s blessings] they will add to you.
Do not let mercy and kindness and truth leave you [instead let these qualities define you]; bind them [securely] around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.”
Solomon tells us not to forget his teachings. His teachings flow from the Wisdom of God which is the gift God gave him. God promised Solomon he could have anything he wanted. Instead of asking for wealth, Solomon asked for Wisdom.
Proverbs is loaded with Wisdom written by Solomon from God and in Proverbs 3:1 Solomon says not to forget his teaching. Carve in on your heart. Keep his commandments. These are not just the “Do Nots” that religion harps about but rather the “DOs” that make for a fantastic life.
Wisdom and “commandments” are meant for our good and to help us live a peaceful, happy, and prosperous life. God already has all that. He gives us Wisdom and it’s up to us to apply it so we may live happy and healthy, full of peace and not stress, fear and disease.
Again the Bible (Solomon) tells us to carve this Wisdom on our hearts which is your subconscious mind. He tells us to bind the TRUTH around our neck. He didn’t say let your mind or thoughts or feelings keep my commandments. He said let your heart keep his wisdom. Go read our THEME VERSE to understand the place of your heart or your subconscious mind.
Later in verse three, he says to write mercy and kindness on the tablet of your heart; the real truths of your life you need to believe. The TRUTH is the promises of God. His promises are for health, long life, love and prosperity. As we go through this year we will focus on all God’s promises.
So Solomon tells us to bind the truth around our neck and carve it on our hearts. When we keep God’s truth first and stop listening to others and our own mind (where your enemy attacks), and when we live daily focused on the truth, then Solomon says God adds years of life worth living (quality years in tranquility and prosperity). He says we will find favor and high standing in the sight of God and man.
Who doesn’t want that? Prosperity, Peace, a Good Long Life and Favor with God and man.
What a deal….but you must do your part and learn God’s promises, meditate on His Word all day and carve it on your heart so you BELIEVE in the promises and Trust and be Confident that God will do what He promises you regardless of your past or present circumstances.
So make some time to learn. This website can help if you use it to gain knowledge and wisdom and then you put it into action.
